Provident Fund
In terms of Clause 33 of the Bargaining Council Agreement Number 31360, Volume 518, Regulation Gazette Number 8950, No 908 of 29 August 2008 employers were to deduct 4.5% of the employee’s monthly wage and the employer was to contribute an equal amount. However with effect from 28 August 2012 the contribution increased to 5.5% and the employer must contribute the same amount in respect of each employee in respect of the Provident fund.
